Atlanta's Top 10 Most Dangerous Intersections

Atlanta is an international city with what seems like infinite traffic and traffic intersections. Because intersections, by nature, are hazardous, proper traffic control measures are necessary to ensure the safety of drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians. The data indicates that thousands of car accidents occur on Georgia’s roads each year, and hundreds of them happen at these dangerous intersections. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that one-third of all American traffic collisions occur in or around intersections.

Local ABC affiliate, WSB-TV Atlanta, performed an investigation in 2015 that determined the city’s most dangerous intersections. The investigation revealed more than 600 intersections in the metropolitan Atlanta area where at least two accidents occurred per week. Some of the worst locations averaged more three accidents per week.

In the hopes of helping our fellow Atlantans stay safe, we’ve compiled the below list of the top 10 most dangerous intersections in Atlanta.
